About Me.
I've always been drawn to building things.
I started out as a civil engineer, working on physical infrastructure and seeing firsthand how systems shape people's everyday lives. Over time, I became increasingly interested in the digital side of problem-solving and transitioned into software engineering, where the ability to build and iterate quickly opened up an entirely new way of thinking.
Today, I focus on building AI-powered systems for real-world, high-stakes environments. My work spans agentic workflows, full-stack applications, and tools that help professionals make better decisions with complex data.
Building Uwazo, an AI-powered tax advisory platform, gave me a deeper appreciation for what it takes to create products people trust and rely on — beyond just the technical side.
I'm especially interested in problems where technology, decision-making, and real-world impact intersect.
Projects.
Uwazo
Uwazo is an AI-powered legal assistant for lawyers and tax professionals. It uses an agentic workflow combining Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and web search to answer complex queries grounded in tax law, case law, and business regulations. Users can upload documents for context-aware responses, work across multiple isolated workspaces, and benefit from personalized outputs through memory-based user profiling.
Ujenzi
An AI-powered web platform for engineers and technicians to perform accurate concrete strength predictions without having to wait for laboratory tests. Users provide concrete mix parameters that are ran through a machine learning model which instantly provides an accurate concrete strength prediction.
Baini
A web application that enables creators to provide tamper-evident signatures on images thus recording the source and history of an image in its metadata. Creators can also verify images and check for provenance information and signs of tampering on image signatures.
reactify-django CLI
A CLI tool that automatically configures React within a Django project with built-in Webpack support. Users can either integrate React into an existing Django project or scaffold a new Django project with React from scratch. The CLI also offers options for TypeScript support and Tailwind CSS. The package is published on npm.
